This year the Orillia Wind Ensemble is presenting four different musical performances in Orillia.

Our first concert on October 16 is a mass band concert of 80 performers at the Orillia Opera House that will include musicians from concert bands around Ontario. This concert will feature Canadian music by Don Coakley and John Palmer and will be conducted by several prominent Ontario conductors.

Our annual Christmas Prelude is on December 3 at St. Paul’s United Church. This is a traditional favourite featuring the Orillia Vocal Ensemble. Come and join us in celebrating the Christmas season in music and song with over 100 performers.

Our winter concert on February 25 will feature members of the Orillia Wind Ensemble as soloists. This is an opportunity for the very best members of the OWE to perform for our community.

Roy Menagh Our final concert on April 28 is very special as we feature a debut performance of selections by Suds Sutherland from musical productions created for students at Twin Lakes Secondary School. Also we will perform another piece by John Palmer, composer and conductor.

MASS BAND CONCERT

Orillia Wind Ensemble is excited to host this annual joint concert of all Canadian Band Association-Ontario members-a mass band of upwards of 100 players! Several guest conductors will take the baton for this special concert.

CHRISTMAS PRELUDE

Christmas Prelude-the traditional start to Orillia’s holiday season. Get in the Christmas spirit with carol singing, seasonal music, and a visit from St. Nick himself. This concert is always a family favourite.
